Carole's mother posted an entry on Carole's blog. Joey was born on Friday, August 25, 2006, via c-section. He passed away shortly thereafter. Please keep their family in your thoughts and prayers during this heartbreaking time and in the difficult days ahead. Peace be with you, Joey. You are loved by many.

Originally a blog to update friends and family on the condition of our son, Raymond "Drew" Lewallen (born March 8, 2006), who was diagnosed with a congenital diaphragmatic hernia (CDH) at 18 weeks gestation. Drew passed away on April 16, 2006; he was 5 weeks and 4 days old. It has since morphed into the blog of a mother dealing with the death of her son and bragging about her other 2 children.

I am so terribly sad over this. Even when you know it is coming, you still pray for a miracle, ya know? I am so heartbroken over the number of babies that are victims of CDH...esp. the ones that don't survive.
I am glad baby Joseph has Drew and all the other angel babies to keep him company but of course that doesn't make the pain of losing a child any more bearable! I am so sorry for Carole and her family and am praying for them. Unfortunately, my computer hasn't been cooperating so I am not able to post on her blog right now but she has a lot of people thinking of her that she's never even met...just as you do!
